A1143 1963 Gibson B45-12N  ....Very Rare Bird!  This is an especially desirable model, one of the earliest square shoulder models with light bracing and pin bridge. Exceptionally fine original condition with only a few small dings in the finish. No cracks, very little playing wear. This is the same configuration that Leo Kottke favored and used on his early recordings. It has a very big, husky voice and is extremely responsive! Definitely one of the best Gibson 12-strings we have played! Action is superb, too! Comes with a new hard-shell case.   $2500.00    MP3

A1140 Holzapfel 12-string Guitar ... Made in Baltimore, Maryland circa 1920. Carl C. Holzapfel's 12-strings are highly regarded and are frequently called the "Holy Grail of 12-strings Guitars"! They are consistently very powerful instruments, ranking right up there with the best big bodied Stellas of the same vintage. Early examples such as this guitar are especially highly prized. Our example is in very good original condition, having only two expertly repaired top cracks and one back crack. The top is tight grained spruce; the sides, back and neck are mahogany. Ebony fingerboard and rosewood bridge. Headstock has rosewood overlays front and back. Original tuners are in excellent condition and work perfectly. One of the reasons these instruments have such a powerful sound is Carl C. Holzapfel's use of a modified ladder-bracing design, with lateral braces and two diagonal tone bars. This guitar is 100% original, right down to the three brass screws in the bridge (a peculiarity seen on nearly all Holzapfel 12-strings). Neck has been reset and the action is excellent. And the tone? AMAZING! Comes with a new tweed TKL hard-shell case. HOLD   MP3

A1130 1968 Gibson B45-12  ....Attractive "tobacco" sunburst spruce top, mahogany sides and back. Hairline top crack in upper bout, treble side near fingerboard extension (mostly hidden by pickguard) and another repaired crack about 1" long, located next to pickguard between sound hole and bridge.  Overall excellent condition, with very little finish wear. It has the original tailpiece and adjustable bridge, which has been fitted with bone saddle for improved tone. Action is low and comfortable. This is a great looking and sounding 12-string! Comes with a new hard-shell case. $1295.00    MP3
